Islands and beaches: Kilometre long white sand beaches with different bars and restaurants are the attraction on the Ilha de Faro. Or visit the romantic beaches of Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago. Those looking for solitude take the ferry to the islands on the coast.

Sport: The moderate climate permits a wide and varied range of sports almost all the year round such as tennis, aqua sports, skin diving, riding, cycling and walking. The Algarve is particularly well known for its golf courses: two of the most famous are the Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago, which are very close to the Quinta do Atlântico.

Restaurants and shopping: In the village of Sta. Bárbara de Nexe you will find shops, restaurants and bars. The picturesque historic town of Faro is well worth a visit. Go shopping and stop at the cafés and restaurants.
